M83 are part of a big label ( EMI / Virgin Records ) with other artists such as David Guetta, The Beatles and Queen. This label is part of the Big Four whom take responsability of all their marketing , distribution , these elements are vital to the music industry as they attract a mainstream audience, through the use of distribution and controling their music stylistics. The Big Four unlike the independent lables are more instrested in the money rather than the passion making the music industry a competative un-passionate industry.

The first shot we see is of grass moving in the mind, then the music starts with a low angle close up of running feat. Then the camera moves out to a long shot low angle to see the character waving on the rest of the characters into the shot. From there we see mid shots of people walking towards the first person. All the characters are dress simple and with the mise-en-scene of the set I establish that the song is about going back to start , back to nature. I also notice that they are eating apples and other fruit showing they are depending on nature. The use of the mid and lond shots shows the characters as a unit and working together in a natural enviroment. Furthermore the use of the low angles looking up at the characters shows the characters are dominante in the shots; they are incharge of the way they use and enjoy the land of their natural enviroment.
Then half way through the song , in the sky white blocks appear and scare the characters back to the tree; retreating to the hide out and looking after each other like a unit. The blocks are seen as the future , the cities and bulidings which are seen everywhere. The characters see this as a threat and fight against it by standing up for the country and the nature. When they all come out from underneath the tree the blocks dissappear into pieces of paper. The music video is  to highlight the way the human race used to cope and work alongside the country. The lyrics , we own the sky;  we own the sky the earth and the air, the characters are shown to be part of the natural habbitat and workings and playing in this natural enviroment. The emphisis is on nature.

This music video is a sad and lonely video showing the life of a drug-ridden homeless young girl. The first shot shows her waking up on a bench with a blanket in the middle of a quite park. Then she walks around the park and shows the album art with her arms out stretched grasps the air and the world. She starts off her day with being happy and free and excited for the rest of the day. Then she moves onto a large busy area similar to a city shopping centre. Then shows her selling The Big Issuse ( a company designed to help the homeless with a small job to get them back on their feet) with a smile but having sly remarks for the public who walk by her. Later on it shows her walking away , touching flowers this is an intertextual reference to My Fair Lady ( With Audrey Hepburn being the flower lady selling cheap flowers and button holes to get by) , also above her head it says in large letters of a building Angel Station, this could indicate she is an angle and she is dead or she has fallen from heaven and been left in this mess of the big city powered by money. Then there is a tracking shot of another sign saying 'Improving an Angel'. Further on there are shots with her sat on the fall with a sped up revsion of people walking past and ignoring her, this emphisises her invisibility and how no one cares about her life. The final shot with her on the street is of her crying and looking past the public and into nothing, this indicates that she is very alone and helpless. The next shot is of her stood at a mirror checking her self and sorting herself out , putting lipstick and mascara on. Then we see her stood outside posing for passing cars. Then a car pulls up, she walks up and talks to the drive and gets in. Therefore the audience now see this defensless girl as a prostitute. From there we see her in a hotel corridoor walking behind a smartly dressed gentleman, once inside the room we see her arms cross his chest and reach into his pocket and collect money, the next shot is a mid/close up of her rolling over with a sad dissapointed face. Finally we see her hand a twenty note out in exchange for a baggy with a white substance inside. From there on we see a change in her attitude , she becomes excited and moving quicker to her flat, once inside she lights candles and smokes the substance. The last lyrics end with her lying on the bed with her eyes open ' Angels to die', therefore we foreshaow that she died from a drug over dose.
